For our customers European HQ in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, we are looking for an experienced Java Application Analyst / Developer, who is trustworthy, service-minded to the internal clients and is a strong team player.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Developing, testing and modifying computer software related to applications, database, utilities or other projects. Possesses a broad knowledge of technical and business concepts applied to complex programming assignments. Will follow defined or prescribed methodology.

MAIN TASKS
Responsible for maintenance and modification of programming systems.

ACCOUNTABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY

• Participate in the internal JAVA development standardization committee, to refine the Kawasaki standards
• Develop and test applications (components) based on technical specifications and in accordance with the Kawasaki standards, Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions
• Configure local workspace for development and test purposes
• Configure local server for development and test purposes

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

Responsibility includes the delivery of tested and approved software components, within the agreed time frame.

• As this position is requiring the use of modern technologies, a permanent readiness to learn and apply new techniques is a must.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Knowledge of IBM iSeries environment, DB2/400 database, WebSphere and ClearCase is an advantage.
• Experience with Object Oriented development
• 3-5 years experiences in developing Intranet and Extranet business applications.
• Team worker, able to participate successfully in an international working environment.
• Education minimum HBO level
